Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi n’Tichka – Ait Ben Haddou – Skoura – Rose Valley – Dades Valley
Your driver picks you up at your riad or hotel in the morning. First, we cross the High Atlas over the Tizi n’Tichka pass, with stops at the viewpoints. If you like, we also visit a women’s argan oil cooperative.
Next, we explore Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village listed by UNESCO. Films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones were shot here. After lunch, we pass Ouarzazate and continue to Skoura, where we visit the Kasbah Amridil.
Then, we drive through Kelaat M’Gouna, the capital of the Rose Valley. Finally, we reach the Dades Valley in the early evening.
Overnight
Hotel in the Dades Valley, with dinner and breakfast. Driving time: about 6–7 hours with stops.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Tinghir – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we follow the Dades Valley, a green strip of fields and kasbahs between red mountains. Then, we reach Tinghir and walk into the Todra Gorge, where a clear river runs between high limestone walls.
Next, we cross palm groves and Berber villages towards Erfoud, a town known for its fossils. Afterwards, we continue to Merzouga, in the Errachidia–Midelt–Merzouga region. Here, your camel trek in Merzouga begins, and you reach the camp at sunset.
Overnight

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – N’Kob – Agdz – Ouarzazate
It is worth waking up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. Then, you ride back to Merzouga for a shower and breakfast. Next, we visit Rissani, the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty, and its traditional souk.
After that, we cross the stony hammada to Alnif, a well-known fossil area, and the earthen ksour of N’Kob. Later, we follow the Draa Valley to Agdz, below Jebel Kissane. Finally, we climb the Tizi n’Tinififft pass (1,660 m) and reach Ouarzazate.

Hotel or riad in Ouarzazate, with dinner and breakfast. Driving time: about 7 hours with stops.
Day 4: Ouarzazate – Fint Oasis – Telouet – Tizi n’Tichka – Marrakech
After breakfast, we visit the Fint oasis, about 10 km from Ouarzazate. “Fint” means “hidden” in Berber, and the green palm grove feels far from everything. Then, we drive up the Ounila Valley to Telouet.
In Telouet, you can visit the old Glaoui kasbah, known for its painted ceilings and zellige tiles. Afterwards, we join the Tizi n’Tichka road and descend to Marrakech, with a stop for lunch on the way.
