Your driver picks you up in Marrakech in the morning. We drive south across the plain and up into the mountains via Asni, with stops at viewpoints. After about 1.5 hours, we reach Imlil, where you meet your local guide.

Midday: hike through the Berber villages

First, we walk up through walnut and apple orchards to the village of Aroumd, at about 1,900 m. Along the way, your guide explains Berber life in the mountains. Then, we continue along the valley, with views of Jebel Toubkal. At lunchtime, we stop in a Berber house or guesthouse for a traditional lunch and mint tea.
