Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

We will personally meet you at the port, airport, or your hotel in Tangier to begin your adventure. From the coast, we drive up into the Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen, famously known as the “Blue Pearl.” This incredibly picturesque town is beloved for its blue-washed buildings and relaxed atmosphere. You will have plenty of free time to wander the quiet, winding alleys at your own pace, take stunning photographs, and soak in the unique mountain air.(Overnight: Chefchaouen Hotel/Riad)

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, we leave the mountains and travel south toward Volubilis. Here, you will explore the fascinating, beautifully preserved Roman ruins and uncover a unique piece of Moroccan history. We then proceed to the 17th-century imperial city of Meknes. We will stop for lunch and admire the immense Medina walls and the grand Bab El Mansour gate. In the late afternoon, we complete our drive to Fes, checking into a beautiful traditional riad in the heart of the ancient city.(Overnight: Fes Riad)

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Today, the landscape changes completely. We leave Fes and climb into the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping first in Ifrane, known for its European-style alpine architecture. We then enter the cedar forests of Azrou to spot wild Barbary macaques. Traveling further south, we cross the Tizi N’Talghomt Pass and follow the striking, palm-filled Ziz Valley. By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara. Check into your hotel at the foot of the dunes to rest and prepare for tomorrow’s deep desert exploration.(Overnight: Merzouga Hotel)

Day 4: Deep Dive into the Sahara Desert

After breakfast, we dedicate the day to uncovering the secrets of the Sahara. We will visit traditional goat-hair tents to see how nomadic families survive in this harsh, beautiful environment. We will also visit the village of Khamlia to experience the captivating rhythms of spiritual Gnawa music. In the late afternoon, you will meet your camel guides. Ride through the towering golden dunes of Erg Chebbi as the sun sets, arriving at your private Berber camp. Enjoy a traditional dinner, drum music by the campfire, and an unforgettable night beneath the stars.(Overnight: Merzouga Desert Camp)

Day 5: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Wake up early to witness a breathtaking Sahara sunrise from the top of the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, you will ride your camel back to the edge of the desert. We then journey west, passing through the date capital of Erfoud. By afternoon, we arrive at the spectacular Todra Gorges, where massive limestone cliffs rise dramatically on both sides of a narrow river. Take a peaceful walk through the canyon before we continue to the Dades Valley, famous for its lush landscapes and unique rock formations.(Overnight: Dades Valley Hotel)

Day 6: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

Our final day takes us along the scenic “Way of a Thousand Kasbahs” and through the fragrant Valley of Roses. We arrive at the spectacular Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the most famous fortified mud-brick village in Morocco. After exploring its ancient lanes, we begin our spectacular ascent into the High Atlas Mountains. We will cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m), stopping to enjoy the panoramic views and visit a local argan oil cooperative, before finally descending into the vibrant city of Marrakech in the late afternoon, where your journey concludes.

Because this is a private tour, we offer complete flexibility. Your driver can meet you at the Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport, the ferry port (Tangier Ville or Tangier Med), or directly at your hotel whenever you arrive.

Yes, for most travelers, one night is perfect. The medina is very small and walkable. Arriving in the afternoon gives you plenty of time to explore, take photos of the blue streets, and enjoy a relaxed dinner before departing the next morning.

You only need to take a small overnight bag with you on the camel. Your main luggage will be securely locked in our vehicle or stored safely at our partner hotel in Merzouga until you return the following morning.
