You will have free time to explore this beautiful town at your own pace. We will spend the night at a local hotel, enjoying the unique ambiance of Chefchaouen as part of our 5 days desert tour from Tangier.

After breakfast, the tour continues towards the must-visit Roman archaeological site of Volubilis. Next, we will head to Meknes to explore this former Imperial city and its most fascinating monuments. Known as “the Moroccan Versailles,” Meknes symbolizes the power of Sultan Moulay Ismail, with its grandeur epitomized by the imposing Bab-El-Mansour Gate. In the late afternoon, you will reach Fes, where you will check in at a local riad for an overnight stay, continuing our 5 days Morocco tour from Tangier.

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

We will pick you up at 08:00 AM from your riad, then drive south to Ifrane and Azrou forest through the Middle Atlas mountains. Along the way, we’ll stop at the cedar forests to see the Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat. Traveling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass, we’ll continue to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges, carved through volcanic rock. As we approach the city of Errachidia, you’ll notice the scenery changing, revealing hints of the desert.

After lunch, we will journey through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud and finally to Merzouga. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a refreshing glass of mint tea before embarking on a camel trek. The camels will take us to a Berber camp in the middle of an oasis amidst the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, known as the highest sand dunes in North Africa. This 20 km long and 5 km wide area offers a unique and diverse environment.

The camel trek lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes, leading us to the camp where we’ll settle into well-equipped Berber tents for a magical night in the desert. As the sun sets behind the dunes, you’ll savor a traditional nomadic Berber dinner. After dinner, we’ll gather around the fire to enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the stars, creating an unforgettable experience on our 5 days desert tour from Tangier.

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the stunning sunrise atop the dunes of the Sahara desert, then have your breakfast. After the amazing moments, you will ride your camel back to the hotel and then depart towards Tinghir, passing by Erfoud and Tinejdad, with a break for lunch along the way.

In the afternoon, we will continue to Todra Gorges via Tinghir, stopping along the way for photos and to admire the landscape. The journey reveals a diversity of incredible scenery, from the vastness of the desert to breathtaking mountains, green valleys, and lush palm trees. Upon arrival at Todra Gorges, we will enjoy the marvelous canyon views while hiking on foot.
