Itinerary:

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast in your Riad or Hotel at 08:00 AM, on your 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech, journeying through the middle Atlas via Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland”, and Azrou. Take a stop at the cedar forest to visit the Cedre Gouraud Tree, where you’ll encounter Barbary apes in their natural habitat. Continuing southwards, pass by several towns where you’ll have the opportunity to observe nomads living in tents and marvel at volcanic rocks.

Our next stop is Midelt, where you’ll enjoy lunch before crossing the Tizi N’Talghomt Passageway (1907 m), taking in the panoramic view. En route, pass through Ziz Gorge and the tunnel, with a sightseeing stop near Errachidia at Barrage Hassan Al-Dakhil, known for its turquoise blue water. As we drive to Erfoud, pause for a panoramic view of Aoufous palm trees lining the Ziz River. Marvel at the diversity of landscapes, from the enchanting desert atmosphere to picturesque green valleys and forests.

Continuing the journey to Merzouga via Erfoud through the oasis of Tafilalet, the largest date palm grove in Morocco, we’ll arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon to check into your hotel. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay, marking the first day of your 4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech.

Day 2: Tour around Merzouga

Enjoy a nomadic Berber dinner as the sun sets behind the dunes, followed by gathering around the fire to enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the starlit sky, creating unforgettable memories of your desert adventure.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

Wake up early in the morning to witness the breathtaking sunrise atop the dunes in the Sahara desert, followed by a hearty breakfast. After these beautiful moments, ride your camel back to the hotel for a refreshing shower. We then set off towards Tinghir, passing through Erfoud and Tinejdad, with a lunch break along the way.

In the afternoon, our journey continues to Todra Gorges via Tinghir, where the magical scenery captivates and enchants visitors. We’ll make stops for photos and to admire the landscape before reaching Todra Gorges. Here, we’ll marvel at the marvelous canyon views while hiking, before finally arriving in the Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay, concluding another memorable day of your 4 days Fes to Marrakech desert tour.

Day 4: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, we’ll go on a scenic drive through the Dades Valley towards Kelaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The route through the Dades Valley, known as the way of the thousand Kasbahs, offers countless photo opportunities. We’ll visit the Roses Valley and Skoura village before continuing to Ouarzazate, famously dubbed “the Hollywood of Africa”.

Lunch will be served at the renowned Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage site. After exploring this historical marvel, our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka passageway, reaching an altitude of 2260m over the High Atlas Mountains. We’ll pause to soak in the impressive scenery and visit an argan oil cooperative before arriving in Marrakech late in the afternoon.
