Itinerary:

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

We will pick you up from your Riad or Hotel at 08:00 AM to begin your journey ascending the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding through beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages that grace this mountain chain. As we descend from the mountains, we’ll continue our trip towards the Sahara Desert, with a lunch break in Midelt, a town famous for its fossils and rocks.

Upon our arrival in Merzouga, you can check in at your hotel and, depending on the weather, enjoy a swim in the swimming pool. Dinner will be served at the hotel, marking the end of the first day of your 3 days Sahara Desert tour from Fes.

Day 2 : Tour Around Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, our day trip begins with a drive through the superb, high sand dunes of the Sahara Desert. As we journey through the fabulous landscapes, black nomadic tents seem to appear in the middle of nowhere! We will stop to enjoy a delicious cup of tea and experience the taste of nomadic life. Continuing our drive, we’ll have the opportunity to meet with nomadic Berber people and immerse ourselves in their culture.

During our tour, we will also have a short visit to Khamliya, a village that seems unchanged for several centuries. Lunch will be served either in Khamlia or back at the hotel. After lunch, the camels will join us for our trek. They will take us to a Berber camp in the middle of an oasis amidst the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Stretching 20 km long and 5 km wide, Erg Chebbi is renowned as the highest sand dunes in North Africa, offering a unique and diverse environment.

The camel trek takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the camp, where we will set up in Berber tents equipped with all facilities, making you feel at home. As the sun sets behind the dunes, you’ll enjoy a nomadic Berber dinner in the middle of the desert. After dinner, we will gather around the fire to enjoy the sounds of traditional Berber drums under the stars, creating memories that will last a lifetime during your 3 days tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes

We will wake up early in the morning to witness the wonderful sunrise over the dunes. After enjoying this breathtaking sight, we will return to the hotel by camel and begin our journey back to Fes city via the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas mountains. Along the way, we will pass through the cedar forests of Azrou, where we will stop to admire the beautiful landscape and observe the Barbary Monkeys.

Our last stop before arriving in Fes will be Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Finally, we will reach Fes late in the evening, with a drop-off at your Fes riad or hotel around 17:30 to 18:00, marking the end of your unforgettable 3 days desert tour from Fes.
